Nautilus, Inc. owns and markets Bowflex, the brand name for a series of exercise machines used for strength training. Besides Bowflex, they also market Schwinn Exercise, Stairmaster, and Pearl Izumi lines.

Bowflex has three 3 main Home Gym equipments:

• Bowflex Revolution

• Bowflex Xtreme

• Bowflex Classic Home Gym

The Bowflex Revolution got introduced in 2006. This new product line was different in that it used circular plates around a cam, the SpiraFlex Technology, instead of the typical resistance bow-like rods, the Power-Rod Technology used on Bowflex Xtreme and Bowflex Classic HOme Gym.

Bowflex Revolution and the SpiraFlex Technology:

SpiraFlex is an Innovative resistance technology which duplicates the benefits of free weights. When you start excercing, the SpiraFlex plates bands tighten on the pivot coil, which in turn creates the resistance. The SpiraFlex technology is what is being used aboard the International Space Station so that the astronauts can get their daily exercise.

A complete gym into your home:

The Bowflex Revolution is a very compact machine with a bench height of 6' 1”, a length of 9' 4”, a width of 3' 2” and can be folded to a size of 4' 7” x 3' 2”. It is a simple, fast and effective home solution that allow anybody serious about exercise to do everything at home and without having to pay for a monthly gym membership. With 30 minutes, three times a week, reviewers get results immediately.

It combines all the strength-building exercise equipment and aerobic Rowing into one machine with a variety of exercises. There are over 100 exercises with up to 400 variations and a range of resistance from 10 to 300 lbs (up to 600 lbs with the leg press station) which are designed to work every major body zone.

There are several attachments and accessories that are included in the purchase of the Bowflex Revolution:

• Preacher Curl Attachment: it allows the elbows to rest on the platform and grasp the inner handles,

• Leg Extension: used for exercises to develop strong and muscular legs,

• Hand grips and ankles harness,
   

•  The Freedom Arms: can adjust to 170 degrees and have 10 different settings. This allows to put the resistance in any desired position when working the upper part of the body.

•  Built-in rowing machine: cardio workout for calorie-burning, cardiovascular warm-up and cool-down.

Bowflex Revolution comes with a 10-year warranty on parts and labor.  There is also a return policy of 6 weeks. But in complete honesty, Bowflex Home Gym is not easy to return if not pleased with the purchase. It comes in about 50 different boxes and some are heavy.


A workout DVD is included that walks you through the various exercises and shows the versality of the Bowflex Revolution. The Product Manuels are well detailed.
